DNV Leak is a software tool for calculating the leak frequencies of sets of equipment, segments, areas and installations from a set of base element data. It comes equipped with a large database of historical failure frequencies ready for you to use.
PHAST (Process Hazard Analysis Software Tool) is used to assess situations which present potential hazards to life, property and the environment and quantify their severity. Risks may then be reduced by re-design of the process or plant, modification to existing operational procedures, or by taking other mitigating actions.
PHAST examines the progress of a potential incident from the initial release to farfield dispersion, including modelling of pool spreading and evaporation, and flammable and toxic effects. The results from the analysis can be displayed and graphed, the extent of the impact seen, and the effect of the release on population and environment assessed.
DNV Softwares SAFETI program is a user-friendly, industry standard method for carrying out Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) of onshore process, chemical and petrochemical facilities. SAFETI allows you to quickly identify major risk contributors. Time and effort can then be directed to mitigating these highest risk activities.
SAFETI analyses complex consequences from accident scenarios, taking account of local population and weather conditions, to quantify the risks associated with the release of hazardous chemicals. SAFETI is available in Professional and Micro versions, both incorporating the industry standard consequence modelling of PHAST.
